Hello sir,
I have completed my btech from allahbad in electronics ande telecommunication. Now i am shifted to mumbai n i wish to appear for gate.. Can i appear for gate from mumbai though i am from allahbad? Giving my gate from mumbai .. will it harm my performance??

Yes, you can appear for GATE exam.

GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering.

If you have Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or Architecture/Design or its equivalent or masters degree in science department then you are eligible for GATE Exam.

There are no restriction for attempts in GATE exam.You can apply any number of time. There is no age criteria but your minimum age must be above 18 years.

Yes, you can appear for GATE exam at Mumbai. Each and every candidate, can choose the city, where he/she want to appear for GATE exam and you can do that during your application process. So, there is no problem, even if you have completed your B.Tech in Allhabad.
Moreover, GATE is national entrance exam. So, there will be no effect on your performance, even if you write GATE exam at anywhere in India. Finally, you can appear for your GATE exam at Mumbai, even if you are student from Allahabad
