Can I get a dual masters degree in the same subject with one year's difference in academic session?

Hi,

I am currently pursuing masters from Ranchi University and have appeared for the semester1 exams which was held in the month of May this year ( the RU's session's late by 5 months).
Now I am interested in getting a masters degree from IGNOU in the same subject. But I still want to continue with my regular masters from Ranchi University as well.
According to the UGC's new guidelines can I continue with the regular class along with the distance one I want to pursue from IGNOU ? Is it legal to get two degrees in the SAME subject if there's a gap of one year in between the academic sessions of these two institutions [RU-(2014-16) and IGNOU-(2015-17)] ?
P.S.: I want to pursue from IGNOU because I am not sure if I will be able to continue with the regular one. I might have to drop off in the future due to some personal reasons.

It is legal and there is no problem for you to pursue the course from both the Universities and you will have no problem if you drop out from any one the Universities.
So it is not a problem for you. You can go and study in IGNOU and also n Ranchi University.
So go ahead with your decision and there will be no problem for you.
Just go ahead without thinking about what will happen as it is totally legal.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
