Does IIT offer M.Tech in Biotechnology course? GATE syllabus for Biotechnology?


Hi Everyone,
I am the student of B.Tech Biotechnology. I have successfully completed my 3rd year with no backlogs. Now I am looking for GATE. What is the syllabus for Biotechnology in GATE? Also tell me is any IIT gives M.Tech program in Biotechnology? If yes then what is the procedure for admission after giving GATE?

Yes. You can join Bio Technology course in IIT after your B.Tech. Since you are in final year you are eligible to write GATE Exam in the final year itself. Once you complete your 3rd year start preparing for this exam as it is the toughest exam for Engineering students.

GATE - Gratitude Aptitude Test of Engineering is the Engineering Entrance Exam which is conducted for pursuing higher studies in India or getting job in Public Sector Unit. Syllabus will be the entire Technical concepts that you have studied for this course from the 2nd semester on wards.

You have to apply for the exam in the month of Aug-Sep and the admit card will be issued in December. Exams will be conducted in the month of Jan-Feb. Fees will be 1500 Rs for Boys & 750 Rs for Girls. 750 Rs for SC/ ST students.
