I am a graduate student. I want to do post graduation course (of 1 year duration) in English from ignou. So tell me about the eligibility criteria for that?

Eligibility criteria for doing MA in English from IGNOU :

• Candidate must have completed graduation degree in relevant subject from any recognised university.
• There is no age limit.
• There is no minimum percentage criteria.

Course duration is 2 years.

It is not possible to do MA in English in 1 year from any recognised university in India.

Those candidates who have completed B.A in English from a recognized university with above 45% marks are eligible for entrance exam.

Your Age should be above 18 years.

I am sorry to say that PG course is not of one year, however it is a course of a minimum of 2 years. However, below, I have mentioned the elihgibility criteria for pursuing M.A. in English from IGNOU, kindly have a look at it.

I have completed my post graduate course in Bengali but want to do M.A in English language. As English was not my subject in B.A so can I apply for M.A in English from ignou?

The minimum duration for MA English course from IGNOU is 2 years.

The eligibility condition from academic side include Bachelor’s Degree or a higher degree from a recognized University.
