Re: Examination pattern of IIFT and XAT?
IIFT Examination Pattern:
IIFT (Indian Institute of Foreign Trade) conducts a national-level entrance exam for admission to its MBA program in International Business. The IIFT exam is conducted in offline mode and consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs). The duration of the exam is 2 hours. Here are the sections in the IIFT exam and their weightage: Quantitative Ability (20 marks) Logical Reasoning (20 marks) Verbal Ability (20 marks) Reading Comprehension (16 marks) Data Interpretation (20 marks) General Awareness (20 marks) The total number of questions in the IIFT exam can vary from year to year, but it is usually around 110-120 questions. XAT Examination Pattern: XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test) is a national-level entrance exam conducted by XLRI (Xavier School of Management) Jamshedpur for admission to its MBA programs and other management institutes across India. The XAT exam is conducted in online mode and consists of both MCQs and subjective questions. The duration of the exam is 3.5 hours. Here are the sections in the XAT exam and their weightage: Verbal and Logical Ability (26 marks) Decision Making (21 marks) Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation (28 marks) General Knowledge (25 marks) Essay Writing (Not graded but used for final selection) The total number of questions in the XAT exam can vary from year to year, but it is usually around 100-110 questions. In terms of difficulty level, the IIFT exam is considered slightly easier than CAT, but it still requires extensive preparation and practice. Preparing for CAT can be helpful in preparing for the IIFT exam, but it is essential to focus on the specific sections and topics covered in the IIFT exam. Similarly, preparing for XAT also requires a lot of practice and familiarity with the exam pattern and syllabus. |
