Re: Is IGD Bombay arts course equivalent to B.Ed?
IGD stands for Intermediate Grade Drawing.
IGD Arts is a diploma course conducted by Government of Maharashtra and valid by U.P Board, Allahabad. IGD Arts is equivalent to B.Ed and if a candidate gets this diploma, there is no need to do B.Ed for him/her for the appointment of drawing teacher at any inter college because this diploma is equivalent to the degree of B.Ed. Yes, you can appear for Primary stage TET exam. A candidate who have completed 12th or its equivalent examination with 50% and above marks from a recognized board, is eligible for Primary stage TET exam. |

Yes, the course is equivalent to the B.Ed course and you will become eligible to appear in entrance examination for recruitment as drawing teacher in higher school after completion of IGD course.
IGD is Intermediate Graduate Drawing and the course is conducted by Government of Maharashtra. So, you can appear for TET examination. For appearing in CAT examination required minimum educational qualification is bachelor degree in any discipline and you will be not eligible for it. |

Re: Is IGD Bombay arts course equivalent to B.Ed?
No, IGD is not equivalent to B.Ed degree. You need to complete a B.Ed course which is approved by NCTE to become eligible for TET and CTET. For CAT, you need to have a degree qualification with 50% marks.
Hence, make sure that you have required qualification before applying for admission. If you don't have graduation, then complete it to become eligible for B.Ed as well as CAT. |

Re: Is IGD Bombay arts course equivalent to B.Ed?
I am sorry to say that the above mentioned course is not equivalent to the B.Ed course.
Candidates those who have completed their B.Ed course, can apply for the TET examination. So, if you have completed your Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University scoring a minimum of 50% of marks, then you can apply for the B.Ed course. |
