Hi Sir/Mam,

I have completed my b.e(e.c.e) with the score of 77%.my interest is to get into software company bcoz they r providing salaries in lakhs with in 30
but my mother says u canot work there after 35.i have dilema of choosing my carear whether shal i move through software or gvment?

In software sector, if you perform well you can rise to great heights with very high salary packages. You can work till you attain 60 years in most of the software companies. However, the work pressure is very high and the job security is not much. If you perform well and if the company is also doing well in the market, your job will be secure. If any one among the both disrupts, your job will be in the danger line. However, it depends on the company too. If it is very good company then it may sustain certain market recessions without sacking employees. But working in government sector is safe, secure and is of less fatigue owing to less work pressure. So if you get chance in government sector you should opt for it provided it is not very low profile job in terms of salary as compared to private sector. If you are hard working, energetic and goal-oriented then you can definitely opt for software sector and rise to great height. Take decision after analyzing yourself and your future goals. The best option would be to start off with software sector and then shift to government sector.
