This paper aims at creating a solid foundation in history, among the candidates taking this examination. The students are questioned on their grasp of history, starting with Indian history. Topics under Indian history include Vedic civilization, the Indus valley, South Indian reigns, art and architecture in ancient India and so on. Indian history is also divided into the ancient, medieval and modern periods and long answer type questions are asked from each of these sections. Comparative questions can also be asked. Another entire section is devoted to the history of Andhra Pradesh with questions on ancient civilizations and Telengana movements encompassing the span of topics the student is expected to cover in this section. The third section includes questions on civics, with questions on the judiciary, executive and legislature of the county. Students are expected to know details of the Indian parliament and constitutions thoroughly this section is particularly scoring if answered well and with dexterity. The paper has 3 sections and 5 questions from all the sections are mandatory. All the questions have one alternative question and carry 10 marks each.
