B.Com in Economics specialization does not exist?


Hi,
I am studying in 12th Commerce but
having Economics in my 12th.
I want to do B.Sc in Economics or
B.A. in Economics because I have heard that
B.Com in Economics not exist.
Is it correct?

Yes, B.Com in Economics does not exist. But if you have interest in B.Com then you should go for B.Com. As it is you had 12th Commerce. Now if you choose B.A. or B.Sc. you might feel out of place. What you can do is, go for MBA after you pass B.Com. MBA has Managerial Economics as a specialization. This genre has all the important parts of commerce like Accountancy, Business, Finance etc. and also it has Economics in its curriculum and specialization. You have Economics in your 12th course. So at the time of your Master's you will have a better grip on Economics subject. Now if you change the course and go to B.Sc. in Economics, then you will find a huge area of Economics to study. Along with it you will have pass subjects that have no connection with commerce at all. So in total you will lose marks in every subject. So better do B.Com and the MBA in Economics.
