It's better to appear for an exam through the school exam, which is also known as selection or rehearsal exam in this exam, you daughter's examination performance ability will be seen and after that school will allow your daughter to appear for CBSE board examination, so it's better that your daughter give rehearsal exam and than she appears for board exam.

* As CBSE and ICSE are both recognized by colleges in India.

* Compared to ICSE, CBSE has less syllabus volume.

* As both are better exams for standard X, but it all depends on the candidate that whether he/ she wants to appear to which board.

* If we opt for CBSE board and appear for examination then we may have some benefits like CBSE offers meritorious scholarships as ICSE does not provide & most of the entrance examinations follow CBSE pattern of syllabus.

* Every CBSE candidate must and should appear the CBSE examinations there is no separate school exam for final examination.

I think, her school is the best school she could have ever got. Normally schools never suggest such a thing. These decisions are solely taken by the candidate itself. You have teachers who really think of their students. See normally every student sits for the final board examination of class 10. The pattern is same. Similar questions come all over India. The rankings of the students passing in such examinations are done accordingly.
But in CBSE you have a special pattern called CBSE school examination. Now, in normal board examinations, questions are set by the board, the papers are checked by the teachers allotted by the board, the passing certificate is issued by the board. In CBSE CBSE School Exam questions are set by the board, the passing certificate is issued by the board, but the papers are checked by the same school teachers from where your daughter is applying. So as you can guess, the chances of getting marks increases. This school exam is meant for those candidates who will sit for the 12th board examinations from the same school and board. Now, this is what you and your daughter must decide. If you want to move out of this board and admit your daughter somewhere else then choose CBSE board examinations, else choose school examinations.

There is not much difference in the academics or syllabus or question pattern of the both the examination.

Also the marks scored in of the examination whether it is school based examination or board based examination has same value.

The board based examination is more better than school based examination because it will provide the students the real experience of examination as it will be held away from the students own school where as school board based will not get as the examination will be held it same environment with which they are used to .

Also this new and real experience of examination will boost up the confidence of students going with board based examination as any further examination will be almost same as this one .

As the selection of type of examination which student wants to give is dependent of his choice so I will advice you to go for board based examination.
