Sir,
I have got 198 marks in JEE Main and grabbed tenth position in my Board from AHSEC in 12th. Can I get into NIT? Please reply as soon as possible.

NIT stands for National Institute of Technology.
NIT colleges are considered among the top colleges in India for B.Tech degrees.
Students can get admission in NIT colleges only on the basis of JEE Mains rank .
CBSE conducts JEE Mains examination for admission in NIT colleges across the country.
On the basis of marks obtained in JEE Mains and boards examination, ranking of the students are published and on the basis of that rank , students can take admission through counseling conducted by CBSE.
For calculation of rank, 60% of the marks scored in JEE Mains and 40% of the marks obtained in boards examination are combined .
So, 198 out of 360 is very good score but the rank which you can get totally depends on the marks you scored in 12th boards examination.
If your Mains rank lie below 6000 then you can easily get admission in any NIT colleges and if your rank is more than 6000 then admission totally depends on fortune .
