Hello Sir, I am a student of class 7th and I want to crack the IAS exam in the future. I am the topper of Science, Social Science and Maths in my class. I want to can I start preparing for IAS exam form class 7th? If yes then please tell me how can I prepare for it?

To apply for IAS exam, a candidate must be graduate from a valid university & age must be between 21 years to 32 years. So, you have around 8 years to complete your graduation. Right now concentrate on your study & think of preparing for IAS once you enter into degree college. You can also join coaching classes for the same.

No, it is not advisable to start the preparation for IAS examination from Class 7th onwards. It is better to focus first on 10th and then 12th standard. You can start the preparations for IAS after 12th or in Graduation time. It is one of the tough examinations to clear in India. So you should concentrate well to clear the civil services examinations. There are also coaching classes available for the aspirants who want to study IAS. So don’t rush too much, 7th standard is too early. One should study at least 8 to 14 hours to clear the civil services.

It is very good that you are really concerned with your career from now onwards.
At this instant, it is not necessary to start preparation for the IAS examination.
You must start your efforts after completing your class 10th.
You must concentrate more on Arts subjects from basic to be strong in this field and make General Knowledge strong from now onwards.

It is not an good idea from now no need to prepare the IAS examinations.

* Because your school subjects are the basic standard for your future studies.
* You need to concentrate on your studies first and clear the subjects with good percentage its most useful in your future.
* Clear your Board exams with better marks 10 and 12 then more concentrate on these subjects like Maths,English,Science which are more useful for your future.
* Because your goal is to crack IAS exams.And daily read News papers for general knowledge regional paper as well as English News paper.
