Re: Is it compulsory to have Maths in 12th for being in PCM group?
No, PCM means Physics, Chemistry and Maths stream. If you have studied commerce then you are in no way eligible for courses which requires science stream with PCM subjects.
If you had studied maths along with commerce then you would have been eligible for B.Arch entrance exam. |

Yes, definitely it is compulsory to take maths, physics, chemistry and English for being student of Non Medical stream.
As you are commerce students hence you can't be considered as PCM student. You are still considered as commerce student. |

No, you will not be considered as a PCM student, if you have pursued 12th standard from Commerce stream without Mathematics subject. Candidates who have completed 12th standard with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry subjects will be considered as PCM group candidates. Since, you have not pursued all these subjects, you will not be considered as a PCM group candidate.

As you are from commerce side, you can not be considered among PCM group. A candidate is considered to be among PCM group if he/she has:
1. Pursued 10+2 in Science stream. 2. Subjects combination include Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. So all these three subjects are compulsory for PCM group. |

No, you will be not considered in PCM group with commerce in 10+2.
PCM means Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and candidates who have these three subjects as main paper in 10+2 are considered among PCM group. You will be considered in commerce without mathematics group. |

No, you are not considered among PCM group.
As you have completed your class 12 from commerce stream, you will not consider among PCM group. PCM group has mainly Physics, Chemistry and mathematics as compulsory subjects. As you have not opted for mathematics as subject in class 12, you will considered as commerce stream. |

Re: Is it compulsory to have Maths in 12th for being in PCM group?
Yes definitely to be regarded as a PCM group student you must have Mathematics as your main subject in the your higher secondary degree course along with Physics and Chemistry as PCM is used for these three subjects only.
So being a Commerce student in your Class 12th you can not be considered as PCM student and hence you are not eligible for any course or jobs which requires PCM as the main subjects of your degree course. But you do not get worried about the same as the same commerce group has also got bright future in the present era .Also being a commerce student you are eligible for most of the courses and jobs apart from few courses in technical field, medical field and defense field ( Indian Navy & Indian Air force) |
