How can I join Navy schools in
Dehradun after passing 5th class?
Procedure for admission in Navy school?

Procedure to join Navy School after Completing 5th class in Dehradun:

1. Contact Schools first for admission.

2. Registration of students for admission is done at the beginning of the session.

3. Children of serving Naval Personnel are given first preference

4.Admission is given on the basis of merit.

5. Age Limit: For admission to class V, Students should have completed minimum of 10 years of age and maximum of 12 years of age as on 31st March of the year in which admission is sought.

Following Documents required at the time of admission:

1. Transfer Certificate from previous school.

2. Original Birth Certificate for Students coming from unrecognized schools.

3. A Medical Fitness Certificate from a registered medical Practitioner.

4. Progress Report from the school last attended.

Procedure to join Navy school after completing 5th standard from Dehradun:

1. Fill up the registration forms before the last date

2. Registration is to be done at the beginning of the session

3. Admission is provided purely on the base of merit of the child(except childrens of Navy personnels)

4. Preference is first given to students belong to Naval personnels

5. A parent teacher meeting is conducted at the last stage which ultimately decides the acceptance or rejection of the student's application.


Documents required at the time of admission:

1. Transfer Certificate from the previous school

2. Original birth certificate is to be displayed for Authentication and a photo copy is to be submitted

3. Character certificate and progress report is also to be provided

4. A Medical Fitness certificate is also required from a recognised medical practictioner

Yes, you can join your child in Navy school and to get admission in 6th standard, your child's age must be between 10 to 12 years.

Admission Process:-
To get admission in Navy school, Dehradun first you have register your child name at the school admission office at the beginning of admissions.
Then the school will process all the applications as per following priorities.
Category I : Children of serving Naval Personnel
Category II : Children of serving Army /IAF /Coast Guard Personnel ,who are on deputation to Navy.
Category III: Children of Retired Naval Personnel.
Category IV : Children of Retired Army & Indian Air Force Personnel.
Category V : Children of NCS Personnel
Category VI : Children of serving Naval Personnel
Category VII : Others.
And the chances of getting admission depends upon the category you belongs to.
