I am in 10th class ICSE board. A science student and I hate chemistry but love physics and maths which stream. Should I choose science or commerce? Is it right to change the stream.

You should choose a stream which interests you. If you love physics and maths, then opt for science stream. Don't go for commerce, because it doesn't have any subjects like physics and maths.

Physics and maths are important subjects in engineering as well as many other disciplines. It can be a good career option, if you are good at it.

If you have an interest in Commerce group means just proceed your further studies with Commerce group.

So, better choose commerce with computers group which shaped your career better.

After finishing 12 you can continue your studies with

B.Com,BBA,BCA,B.Com CS,

And PG courses like MBA etc are there.

If you are not interested to study Chemistry subject then, it is best to opt for Commerce stream. After completion of 10th standard, you can opt for Science/ Arts/ Commerce stream of your interest for pursuing your 11th and 12th standard. In Science stream, there are medical and non-medical science streams, in which you will have chemistry subject. So, it is best to opt for Commerce stream after completion of your 10th standard.

Look, Science is a very interesting stream to study and it has a lot of fields where you can enhance your career in the upcoming future. But if you are no more interested to study the Science stream for further studies, then you must not go for it since you have no more interest towards it. If you are comfortable with the Commerce subjects, then you must go for it in class 11th.

If you are interested in accounts or love to handle accounts in daily life or you want to become a Chartered Accountant, Company Secretary and Cost Accountant then choose the commerce stream, but if you want to become a doctor or engineer then you have to choose science stream. If you change your stream then you have to repeat your entire year and you will also lose one year. So if you love physics and maths then focus mainly on chemistry and try to improve it so that you don’t have to change your stream.

Obviously, if you are not interested in science stream, then you should just not opt for it just because everyone else is going for it or your parents wants you to go for it. If you are interested in commerce stream, then you should definitely opt for it. You should ultimately look for your own interest.

As you are saying that you hate chemistry and love Physics and Mathematics and want to change your stream from Science to commerce So, definitely you can change your stream from science to commerce. But as per my point of view you are interested in physics and mathematics is so you should definitely go for Science stream because you can do well in physics and mathematics and you can just pass in chemistry.
