Is there any strict guidelines that a student should do class 11 and 12 from same school and same city in CBSE board? Is it possible to change school after 11th? What is the formalities which we need to follow for it? Can you please provide me the complete information on the same? Thank you.

No, there is no such rules or guidelines as such, a student can surely shift to another school after the completion of his/her 11th as per their wills.

However, there are certain procedures for it which should be kept in mind, the necessary steps to follow are mentioned below;

Steps to change school for 11th class:

. You first need to get a transfer certificate form the school in which presently you are studying

. Collect your report card from your current school

. Complete the admission procedure in the prospective school you want admission in

. Notify your board about the transfer of school

NOTE: It would be better if you remain in the same board and just transfer your school from one to another,or it will be quite difficult for you to cope up with the new board syllabus pattern.

In case, your new school has a different board, then you will be needing an affidavit citing the reason for changing board.

No, there are any strict rules that a student should complete his 11th and 12th standard from the same school and city but, it is better to pursue both 11th and 12th standards from the same school because, most of the schools does not offer admission to 12th standard. However, if you are interested to pursue 11th and 12th standards from different schools, then, to get admission in 12th standard, you need to obtain a Transfer Certificate from your old school and you need to submit it in your new school and you also need to complete the admission application procedure to get admission in 12th standard in new school.

Yes, there are some guidelines, which has specified by CBSE board. As per CBSE board rules, a candidate cannot change from one school to another school after his name has been sent to the CBSE Board for Senior School Certificate examinations. But, this condition can be waived only in special circumstances. So, you can change to another school, after completion of your 11th standard, only if there is any considerable reason.
