My son rohith was born on 19/05/2005, we is doing his 4th std now, will he able join in sanik school for his 6th? Can someone tell me what is the minimum age required to join 6th standard in Sanik school? Looking forward to hear from you all soon.

The minimum age required for admission of your son in 6th standard in Sainik School is 10 years.

To get admission in 6th standard in Sainik School, the candidate must have to appear in All India Sainik School entrance examination which is conducted on first or second Saturday in the month of January every year. Eligibility criteria required to appear in entrance examination is mentioned below :-

--> Only Boys are eligible to take admission in Sainik School.

--> The minimum age required for a candidate to appear in Sainik School 6th standard entrance examination is 10-11 years as on 1st July of the year in which admission is sought.

--> The candidate must have completed 5th standard from a recognised board.

Since, your son is 10 years old being a 4th standard student, if his age is in between 10-11 years while appearing for 6th standard Sainik School entrance examination after completion of his 5th standard from a recognised board, he can get admission in 6th standard in Sainik School.

To get 6th standard admission in sanik school, your child's age should be between 10-11 years. To get admission in Sanik school, your child has to appear for the sanik school entrance exam. Sanik schools conducts entrance exam, every year to provide admission into 6th and 9th standards. If you child qualify sanik school entrance exam, then he will get admission in Sanik school.

Paper - I:-
1. Mathematical Knowledge Test & Language Ability Test - 200 Marks
Paper - II:-
2. Intelligence Test - 100 Marks

Yes of course. Your son age should have completed 10 years but should not have completed 11 years as on 1st July of the year of examination. And he need to appear for entrance examination, which is conducted by Sainik school. You can expect the notification in the month of May/June in the official website of Sainik School.

The students need to have 10-11 years of age to apply for entrance examination which also needs 5th pass or appearing certificate from a recognized school.
So,your ward is not eligible for applying to entrance examination of Sainik school.
Wait till he will be in 5th standard then apply.
