Admission to Under Graduate Programmes
Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), the first Space University of Asia, offers courses from undergraduate to doctoral level in Space Science and Technology.
There are many courses that are provide by the ISRO after 12th
such as

• B.Tech. (AEROSPACE ENGINEERING)
• B.Tech. (AVIONICS)
• B.Tech. (PHYSICAL SCIENCES)

Seats available

B.Tech. in Aerospace Engineering: 60 seats
B.Tech. in Avionics: 60 seats
B.Tech. in Physical Sciences: 36 seats

How to Apply for ISAT-2012

ISAT- 2012, for admission to B.Tech programmes commencing in the academic year 2012, is scheduled to be held on Saturday, 21st April, 2012 between 09:00 AM to 12:00 NOON, at various centres across India.
Candidates can apply on-line in the prescribed ISAT Application Form that will be made available shortly at www.iist.ac.in/isat2012. Necessary guidelines for registration of the application, payment of examination fee, eligibility, reservation, centres for examination etc. are provided in this web portal. Candidates must ensure that they satisfy all the eligibility conditions for appearing in ISAT while applying.

ISRO is a government organization concerned with research and development
of space technology, satelites etc.

You can get a job in ISRO after
B.E./B.Tech. in Computer Science, Mechanical, ELectronics engineering, Aerospace Engg etc.
or
PG degree in Physics, Maths., Statistics, Astrophysics, Avionics etc.

The Department of Space, Govt. of India has established an institution named
Indian Institute of Space Science & Technology which is offerring courses in the
this field. (B. Tech. in Aerospace Engg., Avionics and Physical Sciences).

If you get admission in this institute and successfully complete B.Tech. course
with first class then you can get a job in ISRO for certain just after passsing
out from the institute.

The IIST conducts a separate entrance exam for admission to the B.Tech. programs.
The test is named ISAT.
To be eligible for ISAT one must have 70% marks in 10th and 12th (PCM).
One can apply for the exam only during appearing the 12th and in just next year.

You should refer the IIST website for details related to IIST and ISAT.

After completion of 12th standard you will not be able to join in ISRO..

For that you have to complete the graduation in engineering field..

After completion of BE/B.tech course you can apply for ISRO..

ISRO conduct a written test every year to recruit technical students..

Through which you can join in ISRO..

Or, you can also go for ISAT exam after completion of 12th class..
ISAT exam is conducted by Indian Institute of space science and technology..

Through this exam you can get admission in B.tech course in Aerospace engineering, Avionics and Physical Sciences..

IIST provides courses on space science and technology from under graduate to doctor level..

After completion of which you can also apply for ISRO..
