I am in 1st year of B.Tech. Please give me
advice to prepare for GRE and TOEFL because
the official websites are not providing me
all the information. So, please inform me.

Candidates who want to pursue their Master's course in foreign universities should appear for GRE and TOEFL exams. GRE exam is used to assess the ability of a candidate in Analytical, Verbal and Quantitative reasoning sections, whereas TOEFL exam is to prove your proficiency in English language. You have to complete these two exams, to apply for admission in foreign universities.

GRE Exam Pattern:-
The GRE exam is conducted in three sections

Section I:-
1) Verbal Reasoning
i) Reading Comprehension
ii) Text Completion
iii) Sentence Equivalence

Section II:-
1) Quantitative Reasoning

Section III:-
1) Analytical Writing Assessment
i) Issue-Task essay
ii )Argument-Task essays

TOEFL Exam Pattern:-
The TOEFL exam is conducted in four sections
1)Reading - 30 marks
2)Writing - 30 marks
3)Listening - 30 marks
4)Speaking - 30 marks

You will have to prepare from some of the textbooks that are available easily in the market.
The list of books that you will have to study is as follows:
1. ETS: GRE The Official Guide to the Revised General Test
2. Manhattan Prep
3. Barron's New GRE: 19th Edition
4. Kaplan 2013 GRE Premier
5. Kaplan TOEFL iBT Premier 2014-2015
6. The Official Guide to the TOEFL (2012)
7. Speaking and Writing Strategies for the TOEFL iBT
8. Cracking the TOEFL iBT (2014)
These are the books you should follow and this will be enough for you to prepare for both the GRE and TOEFL Examination.
So make sure you go through all the books in detail.
