SAT exam is standardised entrance test which is mainly taken by candidates who wish to pursue their higher studies in USA. The SAT exam score is mandatory for those students who want to take admission in undergraduate courses in USA.

SAT Exam Pattern :-
The SAT exam is designed to assess the skills of thinking and logical reasoning of the candidates. The purpose of conducting this exam is to evaluate the performance of students in writing, reading as well as mathematical skills.

The duration of SAT examination is 3 hours and 45 minutes. The SAT exam is divided into SAT Reasoning Test and SAT subject based Test.

SAT reasoning test :-
--> Writing :- This section has essay type questions and multiple choice type questions. The essay section has allocated the time of 25 minutes.

--> Critical Reading :- The critical reading section is divided into three sub-sections. The questions asked in this section are based on either short passage reading or long passage reading. The questions are multiple choice based questions. These questions generally evaluate student's writing skills.

--> Mathematics :- Mathematics section consists of three sections. The total time allotted to this section is 70 minutes.

SAT exam is for the Candidates, who want to pursue undergraduate courses in USA. So, If you want to pursue undergraduate course in America, you can apply for SAT exam.

SAT exam consists of three sections

1)Writing:
This section includes a short essay and multiple-choice questions on identifying errors and improving grammar and usage.

2)Critical Reading:
This section includes reading passages and sentence completions. It is divided into three sub-sections. The questions asked in this section are based on either short passage reading or long passage reading. The questions are multiple choice based questions.

3)Mathematics:
This section includes questions on arithmetic operations, algebra, geometry, statistics, and probability.

SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) is conducted for admission in undergraduate courses in US Universities. If you want to study after your 10+2 in a US University, then you have to apply for this exam.

Exam Pattern:

1. Exam duration is 3 hours and 45 minutes.

2. The exam is divided into two parts i.e Reasoning Test and Subject based test.

3. Reasoning test has questions related to Critical Reading, writing and mathematics.

Students can appear for this exam while studying in 12th class or after passing their 12th class.
