Yes, it is necessary to take GRE for admission in German universities for MS course. Most of the German Universities prefer GRE score for admission. However, few of them also accept SAT score. Along with GRE/SAT score you need to appear for IELTS also since one English proficiency out of TOEFL and IELTS is a must. Few German universities also conduct test of German Language while others give preference to candidates who know German language.
