If you are working on transferable job abroad, then your son will not be treated as a NRI candidate. Only those who are having permanent resident outside India, comes under NRI category.

Hence, no need to worry, if you are just working there. Your son can apply as an Indian citizen for medical entrance exam.

If your son pursues his 10th standard in Abroad then, he will be treated as a NRI and not as a local candidate. Only candidates who have passed 10th standard in India from respective state boards are treated as local candidates. If you want to join your son for Medicine course in India, you have to admission for him through NRI quota.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
