Gossner College was established in the year 1971 on the month of November and it is affiliated to Ranchi University. It is a Christian minority institution managed by a church called as Gossner Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Infrastructure:
The campus of Gossner College comprises of artistic structural design and permanent structures restrained to respective activities like hostels, pond, playgrounds, canteen, auditorium, library, labs, academic building, etc…Since the college has recently introduced a vocational course in computers, the computer center of the college is provided with broadband internet connection thereby students can connect themselves to the outside world. The computer lab is provided with 25 computers and unlimited access to the internet is permitted to the students and staff members.
Objective of Gossner College:
The basic objective of Gossner College is to offer the young tribal Christian students the opportunity to support themselves with knowledge through higher education.

The mission of Gossner College is to offer education to the deserving candidates coming from underprivileged and economically & socially backward communities of the state of Ranchi, specifically to the students belonging to SC/ST and other backward castes.
