Assam Institute of Management came into existence in the year 1988 and it was established by the Government of Assam with the objective of promotion of professional management in the state of Assam. Sanskrit College:

Krishna Kanta Handique Government Sanskrit College came into existence in the year 1970 and the college is offering courses in the stream of Sanskrit with an intake capacity of 90 students per year.
