Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University, Patan
The HGNU or the Hemchandracharya north Gujarat University is a NAAC accredited Grade B University that is present in PATAN acquiring area of 212.50 acres with well equipped modern facilities. The university began with serving forty one colleges scattered in the districts of Mehsana, Sabarkantha and benaskantha. The university began with two hostels for accommodation of students and Gandhi memorial hall for library purpose.
The various Departments in the university offer courses in various fields. The departments are Department in chemistry, Department of Hospital Management, Department of English, Department of Physics, Department of LAW, Department of journalism, Department of English, Department of Education, Department of Physical Education, Department of Life Sciences (Including Environmental sciences and Microbiology) and many others.
The facilities offered at the university include a central library that was built back in the year 1986. The Library has more than fifty thousand books at present and more than 1893 Dissertation and thesis and many other journals and periodicals. All these are present for supporting all the courses under various fields. The annual budget of these books is high since it stores the various books in the most recent update.
The university has various international collaborations and thus the students have an international exposure to universities like GSW University in USA, West Chester University in USA, De’Montford University in United Kingdom and some others. These collaborations gives students a scope to go abroad and explore the technologies there and thus in India can understand foreign technologies.
To apply for various colleges in the University here, you just need to fill in a application form that can be obtained from the university campus and various other centres. The duly-filled in application can be submitted to the university campus along with various documents and photograph. It should also mention the courses that the student want to apply for.
