The Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) is one of the most reputed Universities not only in the state of Kerala but in India too. This institution has an approval from the Government of India. They also possess an approval from the AICTE. The institution carries out CUSAT CAT exam for the admittance of students into their many courses. Instruction on how to fill the admission form is as follows.

Instructions to be followed for filling in form

Students are requested to follow the given instructions:

• All columns must be filled in correctly.
• All details that are provided by the students must be relevant and true.
• The form must not be torn or damaged in any other way.
• Students must use the correct pen or pencil mentioned in the prospectus when they fill the form.
• They should make it their priority to read the prospectus before they start filling the form.
• The form must be accompanied by the correct documents when it is dispatched.
• Applicants are required to present their applications online.
• Foreign nationals who are applying by the lateral entry scheme must also apply online.
• The prospectus will have details about the last date for the reception of the admission form. Applicants ought to send it soon before this date as to avoid rejection of the form.

Exemptions to be taken care while filling in form

There are some exceptions that are offered to applicants. They ought to be aware of them before they appear for the exam. They include:

• The challan that is printed from the website of CUSAT - www.cusat.nic.in can be used to remit the fee.
• The fees could be remitted at any SBI branch or SBT branch as well.
• The University copy as well as the Students copy of the challan shall be returned by the bank as proof of the fee remittal.
• The confirmation should have the University copy of the challan together with it.
• Other payment methods such as DD, MO or Cheque’s are not acceptable.

For Offline applications

The required amount can be paid as DD taken in the name of the Registrar, CUSAT. This ought to be payable at Eranakulam.

For International Candidates

Fees for foreign nationals can be paid as DD or Pay Order. This should be in favor of the Registrar, CUSAT.

Last date for receipt of applications

The admission form for the CUSAT exam ought to be submitted on or prior to the 10th of February, 2011.
