How to fill TANCET Forms?
Anna University conducts Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) every year for the aspirants who wish to take the post graduation courses such as MCA or M.Tech or MBA or M.Arch or M.E from the University in the state of Tamil Nadu. All the programmes have a common application form.
How to Get the Application Forms?
Those who wish to pursue any of the post graduation courses from Anna University should register for the common entrance test by any of the following means.
The application form for the common entrance test is available in various centres by the payment of Rs. 300 (Rs.150 for SC/ST candidates). The correctly filled application should reach the concerned address before the due date.
Applications can also be obtained by means of post. For this the candidate should pay the application fee via demand draft along with the request.
Applicants can also download the application form from the website www.annauniv.edu. The duly filled application form along with the demand draft should be send to the concerned address. Make sure that the application reaches the destination before the due date.
The demand draft should be drawn from any of the nationalized banks in favour of The Director, Entrance Examinations, Anna University which is payable at Chennai.
Instructions to be followed for filling in form
Students must take at most care while filling in the form. Take proper care for filling each of the details. Each column has to be filled legibly by the candidate’s own script. Make sure that the applicants fill all the mandatory columns. The center of the examination and preferred field of study should be mentioned correctly. Any change won’t be encouraged. One should also handle the application form carefully without causing any sort of damage. The candidate should make sure that the application form reaches before the due date.
Exemptions to be taken care while filling in form
Few exemptions of the entrance test are listed below
- The SC/ST candidates need only pay Rs.150 as application fee
- The SC/ST candidates should keep their community certificate along with the application form.
Last date for receipt of applications
The properly filled application form for the TANCET should reach The Secretary, TANCET, Examination Centre, Anna University Chennai, Chennai 600025 before the last week of April.
Acknowledgement of exam application form
On receiving the application form an acknowledgement will be send to the applicant’s mail id as specified in the application form. If the candidates fail to receive the acknowledgement even after 30 days then they should contact the examination center reporting the same.
