In general, FIITJEE admits student on the basis of his/her marks secured in the admission test conducted by the institution. Not only admission test, but also FIITJEE Talent Reward Exam (FTRE) also enables a candidate to seek admission to the institute. However, FTRE is different from admission test since it is conducted for the purpose of identifying meritorious students in such a way that they can get FIITJEE coaching at an affordable fee in the form of scholarships, whereas admission test is meant just for admission of students to the institute.

Reasons for admission test:

The institute conducts admission test mainly because of the following reasons:

• The Programmes offered are designed for preparing the students for different entrance examination and so the institute conducts test to ensure whether a student has sufficient base knowledge to join the courses.

• Another reason for admission test is limited number of seats available in the institute so that they can be filtered based on their performance in the test.

Question paper pattern for admission test:

The institute offers admission to students belonging to class 6-10 and for students belonging to Class 11 and 12. For Junior level students (Class six to ten), the admission test is for testing the IQ of students in science and mathematics subjects. On the other hand for higher secondary students, admission test is for checking their IQ in Physics, chemistry and mathematics papers. Both these admission tests will have questions of objective type format and each correct answer carries 3 marks, there will be a deduction of 1 mark for every wrong answer given by candidates.

Frequency of admission test:

Usually, FIITJEE admission test is conducted two times a month from the month of January to July each year on Sundays. The institute also offers short contact programs for which admission test is conducted from the month of August to January as well.
