How to Prepare for Kalinga Institute of Industrial Training Entrance Exam (KIITEE)?
The Kalinga Institute of Industrial Training entrance exam is conducted every year for candidate’s aspiring for B. Tech Regular and Lateral Entry Courses. This institute was established in 1992 as a small industrial training Institute. This institute has all facilities and very good infrastructure at the campus. A large number of candidates appear for this KIIT Entrance test. This institute will conduct separate entrance test for regular and lateral entry students.
The eligibility for regular students to join in B. Tech course is that they should have passed higher secondary test or equivalent exam. The institute insist that the candidates should have 60% in both Physics and Chemistry and Mathematics. Those who have appeared for 12th exam can also apply for this test.
The eligibility for lateral entry students to join in B. Tech course is that they should have passed diploma courses. They should have a minimum of 60% marks in their qualification exam. Exams are scheduled during the first week of May.
Structure of KIITEE
The Entrance Exam for regular students consists of 120 objective type questions with multiple choices. The duration of this paper is 3 hours. The questions are from physics, chemistry and Mathematics subjects of 12th standard and 40 questions will be asked from each subject.
The Entrance exam for lateral students consists of 120 multiple choice questions. The duration of this test is 3 hours. The questions are from mathematics, engineering mechanics, basic electrical engineering and branch specific questions. Sixty questions will be asked from branch specific. The remaining subjects will get 20 questions from each.

- Electrostatics
- Communication system
- Electromagnetic induction and alternate current

- Nuclear physics etc
The chemistry subject covers
- Organic nitrogen compounds
- Solid states
- Electro chemistry
- D and F block elements
- Ethers and alcohols etc

The candidate can find many guide books and materials in online. Also NCERT guides will be useful in this area.
