How to Prepare for the Law School Admission Test (LSAT)?

The LSAT is a test which is normally standardised. It will include reading and verbal reasoning skills. The purpose is for getting admission into all law schools in India and abroad. The Test has been designed LSAC (U.S) for use of law schools in India. This exam is a good tool to check the candidate’s reading skills, presence of mind and management skills.

Structure of the LSAT exam

  • There are four sections to it.
  • The first two sections contain logical reasoning questions.
  • The remaining two sections contain analytical reasoning and reading comprehension questions.
  • Each section needs to be completed in the time frame of 35 minutes.
  • There is a 15 minutes break between section 2 and section 3.
  • The test paper consists of objective type multiple choice questions.
  • The duration of the exam is 155 minutes include break time.

Syllabus of the LSAT exam

The logical reasoning section is concerned on dealing with arguments. The candidate needs to arrange things in logical manner. This will check the candidate’s presence of mind on the particular situation. For the analytical reasoning section, candidates need to prepare for problem solving questions. They will get questions from basic mathematics concepts, numbers, percentage, profit and loss, etc. The third section consists of reading comprehension questions. The candidate needs to answer for the questions from given passage.

Reference Books for LSAT exam

The candidate can prepare for this section from 12th standard book or they can study in online. The candidate can improve their skills like vocabulary by reading newspapers, editorial etc. The candidate can find sample question papers and tests on the related websites. They can go through these questions and will get an idea about the exam. Since the question categories are often consistent.

Study Plan for LSAT exam

The courses also available for this test both offline and online. The candidate should not panic on the day of exam. They should be calm and confident while attempting questions. This will avoid giving wrong answers and you can score high by giving correct answers. If you are confident with the answer then attempt all the questions. Otherwise, do not attempt all the questions. Since, there is a negative mark for incorrect answers. There are lot of job opportunities available for this law course. After clearing this LSAT, the candidate needs to attend the personal interview.

    my daughter has passed the +2 exam and wish to study law.pl. email the details of the entrance examination conducted by the Kerala Govt., the application proceedure and the date of exam. and books which are helpful for study.
