In India, Common Law Entrance Test is organized for the admission of candidates to undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Law. The test is mainly carried out for evaluating the candidates’ aptitude ability in related subjects. It may include legal, constitution & political system, mathematical problems, analytical reasoning, general awareness and English language.

All interested candidates should satisfy the eligibility criteria for their admissions. Only those who have successfully completed 10+2 examination or equivalent from any reputed institutions are eligible for under graduate programme. And for the post graduate programmes, the candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in related field.

General guidelines to prepare for Law Entrance Exam

These entrance examinations have become more competitive nowadays. So the candidates need to be careful while preparing for those. Aspirants can clear the tests if they go through a systematic preparation. Some simple tips provided here will help them to get out the tensions and worries about the examination.

  • They should collect as much previous question papers and work out them. This will give an idea about the exam pattern and syllabus.
  • They should develop the habit of reading national and local news and this will certainly be useful to improve their vocabulary and reading skills.

The plan should be made in such a way that it is stress less and more effective. They should be able to follow these at all times of preparation.

Ladders in preparing for the Exam

Candidates preparing for these exams should allot their time sensibly. The easiest way to study the whole syllabus is to divide them into small sections and cover each section separately within the allotted time. This will give them confidence to answer all questions in the examination. Major problem with all students is exam nerves and this will lead them to forget even the well prepared portions.
