English languages are such a paper that it tested the reading, writing and grammatical skill levels of the students. Questions are asked in a variety of pattern and almost each pattern is designated to test some skills in students.

Paper Pattern Generally Seen:

Paper of English Language is the 2nd part of the OPENMAT examination .This paper contains 50 questions in it, these questions are of objective type and each question is equipped with 4 choices to choose from. Paper contains questions of various types but each question is of equal marks. There are no negative marking in it. Each question is necessary to be attempted and there is no substitute for any of the question.

Questions which are asked very often

Paper contains questions based on 6 Pattern. 1st pattern is of Unseen passages and there are 2 passage and 15 questions. Next pattern is of Synonyms, 3rd pattern is of anonyms, 4th pattern is of fill in the blanks, 5th pattern is of correcting the sentence, 6th pattern is of odd word in a group, 7th is of changing a word without changing the meaning and last one is of pair of similar meaning.

How to get maximum marks?

The paper is full of grammatical and reading skills, so candidates should well emphasised in these areas and try to correct the grammatical errors. A good book of Grammar will help a lot.

Marks allotted:

The paper is given a maximum of 50 marks in it. Student can get full marks in the paper if they practise in a good manner.

Time assigned:

Paper is needed to be finished in 45 minutes.
