IIIT MBA/MS 2011
Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad – IIITA conducts entrance examinations each year for admission to post graduate studies in MBA (IT) and MS (Cyber law and Information Security). Both of these are specialised programs. MBA (IT) is a management Program which has been designed especially for the IT professionals keeping the needs of IT industry in consideration. Likewise MS (Cyber Law and Information Security) is a postgraduate technical program specifically designed for Cyber Law and Information Security.
ndian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad is a premier institute for IT Education. It was established in 1999 by the Central Government and is considered one of the best educational institutes across the nation. In the year 2000 it was conferred the status of a deemed university and in 2004, IIIT-A started the post graduate courses in MBA and MS. Only those candidates can apply for MBA (IT) who has a valid CAT Score. Only the candidates who clear the cut-off in CAT can appear for the entrance exam for MBA (IT) Entrance Test.
Eligibility criteria:
For MBA (IT):
A candidate needs to have a bachelor’s degree and also a valid CAT score. Those in the final year of Graduation can also apply.
For MS (Cyber Law & Information Security):
A candidate needs to have BE/B.Tech/Post Graduation/LLB or equivalent
Availability of Application Forms:
Application forms for both the programs are expected to be available by November in IIIT, Allahabad. Form can also be obtained by sending the request for form to IIIT, Allahabad along with a demand draft. Candidates will also be able to download the form through the website www.iiita.ac.in.

Availability of application of forms: 9th November, 2010-21st January, 2011
MBA (IT) entrance test and interviews: 20-21 February, 2011
MS (CLIS) entrance exam and interview: 27-28 February, 2011

Selection Procedure:
MBA (IT):
Candidates are first screened depending on their CAT percentiles. The screened candidates are then called for an entrance test, interview and a general discussion. Final Selection is based on the following weightage criteria:
Entrance Test: 50%
CAT Score: 30%
Group Discussion: 10%
Interview: 10%
MS (Cyber Law & Information Security):
Screened Candidates will be called for Entrance Test and Interview. Final selection will be based on the following weightage criteria:
Entrance Test: 65%
Interview: 35%
Other factors such as extracurricular activities as well as past academic records also play a pivotal role during final round of selection.

i have completed my BE in IT from mumbai university. In the website of iiita it is mentioned that only screened students are eligible for ms-clis.
