Ashok Institute of Hospitality and Tourism Management conducts a Bachelor’s in International Hospitality Business Management (BIHBM) programme in association with Kurukshetra University, Haryana. It is a unique 4 year programme in Hotel Management in which other than the education given for BSc. programme in Hotel Management also gives education in advanced and modern international curriculum in field of hospitality management.
The Institute has been recognized as one of the most prestigious College that is carrying the lantern of establishing new ventures in the course of Hospitality as well as Tourism Management. The institute has an unique infrastructure that houses state of the art features along with highly dedicated as well as qualified teaching staff. The College has an excellent placement record that is amongst the best in the sector. The Institute has several tied ups with most of the prestigious Hotels located all around the nation for training purposes. The Institute is also amongst the first to host a Joint Committee Meeting the following concerned matter.
Ashok Institute of Hospitality and Tourism Management is managed by Indian Tourism Development Corporation limited which is a Government of India undertaking. The institute came up in 2003-04. Earlier it was an in house training center of ITDC. The institute also has an ISO 9001:2000 certification. The entrance for the programme is conducted jointly by Kurukshetra University and ITDC.
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidate should have passed 10+2 examination or equivalent with at least 50% aggregate marks or equivalent grade. Those appearing in 10+2 examinations in 2011 can also apply. The candidates have to be a citizen of India and should be above a minimum age limit of 17 years as on the ensuing year of the admission. The candidates should be mentally as well as physically fit during the admission process.
Availability of Application forms:
The forms will be directly available from Kurukshetra University counter & also from Ashok Institute of Hospitality and Tourism Management. The form can also be obtained by post from Kurukshetra University by sending a Demand Draft along with the request for form. Candidates can also download the form online through the websites www.kukinfo.com & www.itdc.org. The candidates that are interested in earning their application form through post have to send a requisite letter along with mentioned registration number. The candidates are also advised to provide a specimen of their signature at the back side of the Demand Draft. These respective candidates will be replied with a copy of the application form.
Important Dates:
Date of Entrance Examination: June Last week, 2011
Last Date for receipt of completed application forms: June 3rd week, 2011
Declaration of results: July 1st week, 2011
Pattern of Examination:
The paper will be of 2 hours duration consisting of 100 multiple choice questions in all from the following 4 sections:
Reasoning: 25 Questions
English Vocabulary & Comprehension: 25 Questions
General Knowledge: 25 Questions
Numerical Ability: 25 Questions
