J. K. institute of Applied Physics and Technology, Allahabad is acting as a constituent unit of the University of Allahabad. The institute offers different technical courses with the objective of producing good human beings with sound technical knowledge and skills.

Courses offered:

J. K. institute of Applied Physics and Technology offers the following courses:

• Bachelor of Technology in

o Computer Science & Technology

o Electronics & Communication Engineering

• Master of Technology in Electronics & Communication Engineering

• Master of Computer Science

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science

In addition to these courses, the institute also offers vocational course in Computer Maintenance.

Admission Procedure and Eligibility Requirement for B. Tech course:

For getting into the B. Tech courses, candidates must have passed their 10+2 with not less than 60% of marks (55% for SC/ST) and admission of students is done based on the merit secured by the students in the AIEEE examination. The institute is permitted to admit 45 students per year for each branch of B. Tech course and reservation of seats for SC candidates is seven, PH is one, general is 22, OBC is 12 and for ST candidates three seats are reserved. This reservation is applicable to both branches of B. Tech course.

Placement cell:

J. K. institute of Applied Physics and Technology, Allahabad has a placement cell with good placement records. The final recruitment process of candidates begins when the companies visit the campus of the institute. The recruitment process is divided into three stages namely:

• Pre-placement talk

• Personal interviews/group discussions/written test

• Declaration of results
