JIS College of Engineering is affiliated to West Bengal University of Technology. The college was formed in the year 2000 and it is approved by All India Council for Technical Education. The aim of the college is to prepare the students to meet the challenges of the changing and growing needs of the industry by delivering high quality education combined with training and research suitable for lifelong learning aspirations and needs of the students in the global setting. The college also aims to build confidence and give practical insight by exposing students through case studies and in-plant training.

JIS College of engineering is offering bachelor of business administration, computer application, and master of computer application and business administration. Under bachelor of engineering, applied electronics & instrumentation engineering is offered.

Eligibility Criteria:

For under-graduation courses, candidates must have cleared 10+2 or equivalent course in science stream from an approved board with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in mathematics, chemistry and physics. For post-graduation courses, the candidate must have acquired 1st class in under-graduation courses like B.E/B. Tech/AMIE/M. Sc in appropriate groups. In the case of MCA, the candidate must have completed 10+2+3 with computer application/computer science/business math/statistics/maths and admission is made through JECA. In the case of MBA, the candidate must have completed 10+2+3 in any discipline with a valid score in JEMAT/CAT/MAT.
