Jodhpur National University, Jodhpur
The university was established by the university act of the year 1956 in the western part of the Rajasthan. The university offers a large campus for the students, with all modern facilities equipped in it. The colleges in the university are all AICTE or All India council for Technical Education approved.
The various colleges include the Jodhpur Pharmacy College, Jodhpur engineering college and research center, Jodhpur institute of management, Jodhpur institute of Law, Jodhpur Dental College General Hospital abbreviated as JDCGH. The various courses offered by the university include research courses, Post graduate courses, Under Graduate courses, and Diploma Courses.
The university offers the spectrum of facilities which include a fully Wi-Fi campus i.e. the internet can be accessed from anywhere in the campus area. The university has well equipped Laboratories and Clinics, Hospital. The university gives modern teaching aids like teaching on projectors. The central Library of the university supports teaching, learning, research, academic and development programs. The library has more than 50,000 books, journals and magazines in it. The university also provides Games and support facilities with large playgrounds for indoor and outdoor games, bank, and hostel facilities. The hostels have both air conditioned, and non air conditioned rooms from which the students can choose.
The training and placement cell of JNU is continuously working for students. The cell is responsible for placement of the students of JNU in companies like Kotak, Tata, IBM, Airtel, Infosys, and Wipro etc.
The students seeking admission in this university’s M. Tech. courses should give the GATE exam that is held every year. For admission to the Engineering courses the students who have secured more than 55% marks in 10+2 level of studies. The students who have secured more than 45% marks in the graduation in any discipline are eligible to apply for MBA courses. There are various criteria’s for other courses which can be obtained from the university website.
