The British Indian Government set up the first Public Service Commission on October 1st, 1926 for recruiting candidates for it services in the territory. Later, the Federal Public Service Commission was set up under the Government of India Act, 1935. Due to the success of the Federal Public Service Commission, provisions were made to start the Public Service Commission at the provincial level under the Government of India Act, 1935. The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission was formed on 1st of April 1937.The UP Public service Commission is highly modernized and its examination system has been partly computerized. The UP Public service Commission is successfully recruiting candidates for various government departments in the state of Uttar Pradesh.

Public Service Commission, Uttar Pradesh (UP) invites application from eligible candidates for the post of Junior Engineers in Rural Engineering Services, UP.

Pay Scale – Rs. 9300-34800 + Grade Pay of Rs. 4200

Eligibility:

Age criteria – Candidates must be between the age group of 18 and 35 years for applying to the post of Junior Engineers in Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission.

Qualification – The candidates must have done three years diploma in Civil Electrical, Mechanical Engineering recognized by Technical Education Board Govt. of U.P. Candidates who have minimum two years experience in Territorial Army or who have obtained N.C.C. ‘B’ Certificate are preferred.

Selection Process:

The selection of the post is through interview.

Application Fee:

Application fee of Rs. 80 (For Unreserved (General) , and other Backward Class), Rs. 40 (For SC/ ST) must be paid in any of the branches of State Bank of India or Punjab National Bank through E-Challan. There is no fee for physically handicapped candidates.
