Air India Air Transport Service Limited shortly called as AIATSL is acting as a subsidiary of the Air India and the company was established by the Government of India as a Public Sector Undertaking. The company offers services like carrying of passenger and cargo to various destinations and it also offers several other services for the convenience of the passenger.

Air India Air Transport Service Limited has called for applications from appropriate candidates for the position of Junior Executive - Technical to work at various stations on fixed contract basis and the details regarding the notification issued by the company in this respect is given below:

Name of the Position: Junior Executive – Technical (Ground handling functions)

Number of positions: Total number of vacancies is 97, categorized as follows:

• General – 50

• OBC – 26

• ST – 07

• SC – 14

Period of contract: Initially, the period of contract is for three years, which is extendable further by two years or still such time the company has contract for ground handling services at international airport.

Pay Scale: Salary for the first year will be Rs.22000, for the second year it will be Rs.25000, for the third year it will be Rs.28000 and Rs.32000, Rs.34000 respectively for fourth and fifth year based on satisfactory performance of candidates. Candidates will be awarded with other benefits like leave encashment, reimbursement of medical policy for family and self and PF.

Eligibility Conditions:

Education: to apply for the position of Junior Executive-Technical, candidates must be UG degree holders in industrial engineering/production/automobile/electrical/mechanical/electronics engineering with not less than 55% of marks.

Other requirements: Candidates must be fluent in English and desirably fluent in Hindi and local language. Candidates must produce heavy motor vehicle driving license within 12 months from the date of joining the position of Junior Executive-Technical. Preference will be given to candidates with two years experience in activities related to ground handling.

Age requirement: Candidates should not be more than 25 years of age as on 1st of September 2011, the upper age limit is 28 years for OBC candidates and 30 years for SC/ST candidates.

Application fee:

Candidates will have to pay a non-refundable fee of Rs.500 towards examination and processing fee in the form of DD drawn in favor of Air India Air Transport Services Limited payable at Mumbai. Fee need not be paid by ex-servicemen and SC/ST candidates.

Candidates will have to apply online through the website of AIATSL between 15th September and 1st of October 2011. Once application is submitted online, registration slip should be taken as print out and recent passport size photo should be pasted on it. This should be sent along with DD and other documents by speed/ordinary post before 10th of October 2011 to the address given below:
