Nagaland University was established as a Central University by the Government of India. The university came into existence in the year 1994 with four campuses located at Kohima, Dimapur, Lumami and Medziphema. The university is affiliated to University Grants Commission. Professor Y. K. Alagh is the Chancellor of the university. Professor B. K. Knwor is the Vice Chancellor of the university. The university is located at Nagaland and is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. The major objective of the university is to educate people for the development of the state of Nagaland.

Job Profile:

Eligible Indian Citizens are invites to apply for the following vacant non teaching positions of Junior Stenographer, Caretaker, Hindi Typist and Gestetner Operator in Nagaland University. Candidates are required to check their eligibility for their desired post in advance as per the eligibility conditions set for it. Uneligible candidates will not be considered at the time of making final selection for the following posts:

1. Recruitment of Junior Stenographer:
No. of posts: Only 7 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: The minimum educational qualification required for the post is Higher Secondary from a recognized board with Diploma in Stenography. Candidates are also required to have a typing sped of 80 words per minute and 40 words per minute in Hindi.
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 2400.

2. Recruitment of Caretaker:
No. of posts: Only 1 post is available.
Educational Qualification: The minimum educational qualification required for the post is Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university. However, those canddiates who have done 10+2 with Diploma in Hotel Management and Catering are also eligible to apply for the post.
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs.1900.

3. Recruitment of Hindi Typist:
No. of posts: Only 1 post is available.
Educational Qualification: The minimum educational qualification required for the post is 12th standard or equivalent from a recognized university. Besides this, candidates should also have passed Hindi Typewriting test with minimum 25 words per minute of speed. Working knowledge of Computer Application is also required.
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs.1900.

4. Recruitment of Gestetner Operator:
No. of posts: Only 1 post is available.
Educational Qualification: The minimum educational qualification required for the post is HSLC passed or equivalent from a recognized board. Candidates should also have done ITI certificate in the relevant or concerned discipline.
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs.1900.

Application Fee:

Rs. 200 is the amount of application fee that is need to be submitted by the General candidates only. However, the candidates who belongs to SC/ST/OBC categories, are required to submit an application fee of Rs. 150 only. The amount of application fee must be paid thourgh a Demand Draft only. The bank draft should be made in favour of Registrar, Nagaland University payable at Nagaland only. No other mode of payment will be accpeted by university.
