The commission actually came into existence in the year 1953 with its name as Andhra Service Commission and before 1956, it was working according to the regulations of the Madras Public Service Commission.

Pay Scale: Junior Stenographers in A.P. Ministerial Services will be coming under the pay scale of Rs.8440-24950.
Eligibility requirements:
Educational Qualification: To apply for the position of Junior Stenographers in A.P. Ministerial Services, candidates must have completed their intermediate examination or its equivalent examination and they must have passed Government Technical Examination in Typewriting higher grade and shorthand higher grade in relevant language. If candidates with higher grade in shorthand and typewriting do not apply, candidates with lower graduate qualification will be considered for appointment. In the case of candidates with Telugu typewriting certification, they should have completed the typewriting examination with government standard key board.
Age: Minimum age limit to apply for the position of Junior Stenographer in A.P. Ministerial Services is 18 years and the maximum age requirement is 34 years as on the 1st of July 2011. Mode of selection:
For the position of Junior Stenographer in A.P. Ministerial Services, candidates will be selected based on the marks secured by them in the written examination, which should be taken up only by the candidates fulfilling the eligibility requirements. Application fee:
All candidates will have pay Rs.25 towards application processing fee and candidates who are not exempted from payment of fee will have to pay Rs.80 towards examination fee. Candidates will have to pay the fee in any online centres of AP/SBI and should obtain fee payment challan. The last date for payment of fee is 19th December 2011.
