Kurukshetra University 2011 MBA
Kurukshetra University (KU) conducts an admission process for admission to its MBA programs. Kurukshetra University was established in 1956 and since then is one of the most reputed universities in India. Kurukshetra university offers MBA program at University School of Management and P.G. Regional Centre, Jind. There are 230 seats in all for all the MBA programs offered by the University.
Candidates are shortlisted for MBA programs on the basis of their CAT scores. Therefore for admission in MBA programs of kurukshetra University candidates have to appear for CAT. The candidates who are shortlisted on the basis of their scores in CAT have to appear for counseling for final selection.
MBA Courses offered:
• MBA (Service Management)- 30 seats
• MBA- 120 seats
• MBA (Hons)- 30 seats
• MBA (PG Regional Centre, Jind)-50 seats
Eligibility criteria:
A candidate should have a 3 years bachelor degree or equivalent from a recognized institute with at least 50% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA (45% for SC/ST). Candidates in their final year of graduation can also apply.
A relaxation of 5% will be awarded for those candidates that are physically as well as visually handicapped. However, for general based candidates, there would be no rounding off the eligible cut off marks. For instance, if any candidate has achieved 49.5% and then applying for application with the hope that the candidates’ application will be accepted as the eligible marks will be rounded to 50% is highly unacceptable. The interested candidates should also have to appear in the CAT exam of the ensuing year of the admission.
Availability of Application forms:
The forms for MBA will be available from the University campus. Candidates can also download the form online through the website www.kukinfo.com. The overall price of the application form is Rs. 420 for candidates that belong to the general category. However, the same application form costs only Rs. 120 for candidates that belong to the reserved category.
For candidates that are interested in earning the application form through post have to send a Demand DRAFT OF Rs. 450 to the given address, however the candidates that belong to the reserved category have to send a DD of Rs. 150. The candidates have to specially mention the registration number at the top of the requisite letter. Furthermore, the candidates also have to provide a specimen of their signature at the back side of the Demand Draft and are instructed to retain the Bank slip with them.

Last Date for receipt of completed application forms: Mid week of May, 2011
Selection process:
Candidates are shortlisted on the basis of their CAT/XAT/MAT/IIFT/GMAT scores. The shortlisted candidates are then called for further selection process consisting of Personal Interview, General Discussion, Essay Writing and Case Analysis for final selection process.

Dear Sir,
It is necessary that in every subject 50% marks is must.
If a student marks is less than 50% in two subjects in that case University can declare him fail. Is that a University rule.
