Dayalbagh Educational Institute, shortly called as DEI is an educational institution located in the city of Dayalbagh on the outskirts of the city of Agra at a distance of about 200 kms from the city of New Delhi. The institute has earned the state of Deemed University from the University Grants Commission of India in the year 1981. The institute has introduced a scheme of comprehensive and innovative education at the non-university and university technical and general education levels that aims at excellence not at the cost of relevance. The university aims at developing integrated personality of well-adjusted future citizens, whose world has not been broken into fragments by narrow domestic walls.
Dayalbagh Education being a deemed university offers courses in the faculties of arts, commerce, education, engineering, science and social science. A technical college and an intermediate college are also functioning as one among the faculties of Dayalbagh Educational Institute at UG, PG, Diploma, certificate and even at Ph. D level. The institute also offers some course through distance education mode and distance education programmes were introduced by the university from the year 2004.
