Madhya Pradesh Board conducts class 10th exam for aspirant’s candidates in different subjects. One of the papers is General English.

Division of the paper:

The papers offer no sections or sub-parts, neither any sub units. Though there are internal options within the question.

Paper Pattern:

There are a total of fifteen questions; with each question allotted a different marks. All of the questions offered in the exam are compulsory to attempt. The 12th question observes letter writing, the 13th question observes essay writing which has to be written in 200 words, 14th question observes comprehension reading and the last question observes translation from Hindi to English. The answers to the first five questions have to be answered in about two to three sentences. 05th, 08th and 12th question offers internal options. Candidates have to answer the entire question in English Language. The letters are offered both in formal as well as informal pattern, and candidates have to choose any one, where as there are five options in the essay question.

Markings:

The total mark of the paper is fifty. Each of the questions has its own marks, and there are no particular set of markings.

Time allotted for examination:

Students are required to complete the entire paper within time duration of 3 hours.
