Forensic Science deals with a lot of subjects and uses them and their principles in various fields to find out something or the other. One such branch that has wide applications in forensic science is Chemistry. Study of chemicals and various other metals play a very vital role in outdoing the principles that was used in the events. The chemistry part of the events can be efficiently utilised to create various aspects that would be used to find the effective routes to detect the source of the problem.

The course of the forensic chemistry is an interesting one that utilises more than one branch. The candidates that want to pursue the course have to earn their Higher Secondary Examination with a minimum of 40% and should be from a reputed board that would be a direct indication of the standard of the candidates. The candidates should also have attained a minimum of 22 years as on the date of the admission.

Course Outlook:

The duration of the course of the master’s level degree in the forensic chemistry is of from two to three years. In most of the cases, the candidates under take this course in the part time type as well as correspondence type. The course is also applicable in two year in full time type in some of the Institutes.

Job Prospects:

The candidates that have under taken this course are placed in various NGO’s as well as the Government Organization as forensic scientists specializing in Chemistry department.

    Hi..im Chrysel Tan from Philippines.I am a grauduate of Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology. I had also finished my Bachelor in Secondary Education major in General Science and Chemistry. Aside from that i had completed the Academic requirements for my Master of Arts in Guidance and Counseling..I had been working before at a Clinical Laboratory, Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Hospital Philippines for almost 5 years.I am also a Chemistry teacher to high school students for 2 years. My current job now is being a Personnel Officer of the Department of Education Central Office Meralco Avenue Pasig City Philippines.and at the same time i am connected to an Elite Law Enforcement Agency ” the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency”. I also coordinate most of the times to the National Bureau of Investigation regarding counter intelligence and counter terrorism & share intelligence report to these Law Enforcement Agencies.
