Masters of Condensed Matter Physics
The course is meant for making the students aware of the diversified concepts of correlation effects in quantum dot tunnelling, quantum hall breakdown, quantum chaos in semiconductor super lattices and most significantly quantum phenomenon in micromechanical systems. The other concerned epicentres include vibrancy coupling, optical fibres, photonic crystals and the concerned electromagnetic wave chaos, effects of the demagnetizing fields on the NMR spectra, ultra cold atoms, and the hydrodynamic descriptions of the quantum hall breakdown and the theory of vibrating wire viscometer. All these conceptual facts contribute to enlightenment of the students with a sound knowledge of the field and emerging him as a deserving and efficient candidate for the different profiles.
Eligibility:
The eligibility criterion calls for the candidates to have a bachelor degree in physics. However, the criterion shows a variation with the different institutes, few of which pose their special requirements in the same regard.
Course Outlook:
The course is meant for duration of two years. These two years consist of several segments.
Job Prospects:
There exist several profiles for the candidates with a master’s degree in Condensed Matter Physics. The candidates can render their services as a professor or lecturer in different universities or colleges. There are also options of further research works for the candidates in the same field. The list continues with the other diversified options too for these candidates.
