MCA (Distance Education) in Mumbai University – Eligibility and Admission Process

Mumbai University allows candidates to pursue MCA course through distance and open learning mode. Bachelor degree holders with a minimum of 45% marks can apply. Such students must have studied mathematics as a subject either at 12th or higher level. Admission process for eligible candidates is done on the basis of an entrance test. Algebra, probability and statistics, computer basics, computer architecture, programming in C, database management systems, etc are the main topics asked for the entrance test.

Eligibility Criteria for MCA (Distance) in Mumbai University

Bachelor degree holders from any of the recognized Universities with a minimum of 45% marks can apply. Reserved category candidates need to hold a minimum of 40% marks only. Such students must have studied mathematics as a subject either at 12th or higher level. Final year students or those who are awaiting final year results can also participate in the admission process. Moreover, the applicant must be an Indian citizen. Foreign and NRI students are not eligible to join the course.

Admission Process for MCA (Distance) in Mumbai University

Admission process for eligible candidates is done on the basis of an entrance test. The objective of the test is to evaluate candidate’s aptitude to pursue the master level course in computer application. Only objective model questions are asked for the entrance test.
