METAS Adventist College came into existence in the year 2008 and the institute offers a number of courses with affiliation from the North Eastern Hill University. It is a minority institution offering courses in the faculty of nursing, business administration, computer application, etc…

Courses Offered:

METAS Adventist College offers the following courses:

• Master of Business Administration

o Human resource management

o Finance

o Marketing

• Bachelor of Business Administration

• Bachelor of Computer Applications (Hons.)

• Bachelor of Science (honors) in Biotechnology

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing

• General Nursing & Midwifery

• Bachelor of Medical Records & Health Information Technology

• Diploma in Medical Records Technology

Of the above-mentioned courses, the last two courses are not affiliated to the NEHU. On the other hand, the BMRHIT course is affiliated to the IGNOU, while the other course is affiliated to the Christian Medical Association of India.

Eligibility requirements:

Eligibility requirement for each of the courses are given below:

• For the MBA course, candidates must have completed their graduation in any discipline with not less than 50% of aggregate preferably in English medium

• For BBA course, candidates must have completed their higher secondary in any discipline preferably in English medium with not less than 45% of marks

• For BCA course candidates must have completed their higher secondary examination in science stream with mathematics as a subject by securing not less than 45% of aggregate marks.

• For B. Sc Biotechnology course, candidates must have passed their pre-university or 10+2 in the first attempt with not less than 50% of aggregate marks

• For B. Sc Nursing candidates must have completed their 10+2 in science stream in English medium with not less than 50% of aggregate marks and they should not be more than 17 years of age

• For GNM course, candidates must have completed their 10+2 in science stream or even arts stream candidates with not less than 50% of marks are eligible to apply

• For the final two courses mentioned above, candidates must have completed their 10+2 in any stream of education with 50% of aggregate marks.

Admission Procedure:

For MBA course, MAT and CAT score are accepted for admission if the candidate fulfills the other eligibility requirements. Candidates will be shortlisted for GD and personal interview for admission to the MBA course. For BCA course, B. Sc Nursing and B. Sc Biotechnology courses, admission is done based on qualifying examination marks and personal interview. For other courses, direct admission is offered if the candidates meet the eligibility requirements.
