M.Tech In ICE
Masters in ICE or Instrumentation & Control Engineering caters to increasing demands of chemicals, fertilizers, petrochemicals, oil and refinery, power, food processing,textile, plastic and manufacturing industries. It also includes robotics, aerospace and military applications.
It is beneficial for the students if they have an under graduate programme. This PG programme will act as a value addition to the knowledge accumulated at Bachelors’ level. It is a step ahead programme with a full year of project year.
Eligibility Criterion
Candidate must have B.E. or a B.Tech degree in Electrical Engineering or in Instrumentation & Control Engineering or Electronics Engineering. The candidate has to clear the GATE Entrance test or SET test to apply for this course.
Course Outlook
It is a two year programme. The best candidates for this programme would be those who are looking to enhance their existing skills in the field. The faculty for this course is amongst the best in the field. Not more than 25-35 seats are offered in a course where this course is run.
Job Prospects
There are ample opportunities for those having a bachelors’ degree in the same field. The telecom and IT companies recruit the M.tech graduates specializing in Instrumentation as well as Control Engineering as these are interdisciplinary subjects. Excellent placement of students in companies like National Instruments, Reliance, L & T , Torrent Power,, ESSAR, Wipro and TCS .
