Office of President of India and two other chambers (Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha) constitutes the Parliament of India. All the members of the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha are referred as Member of Parliament. Only the selection of the Member of Parliament of Lok Sabha is done through the direct election method. Mohammed Hamid Ansari is the Chairman of the Rajya Sabha as well as Vice President of India.
Job Profile:
Lok Sabha Secretariat invites applications from eligible Indian candidates for filling up the following vacant positions of Parliamentary Reporter Grade-II, Parliamentary Interpreter Grade-II, Hindi Assistant and Junior Library Assistant. This is a special recruitment drive for SC/ST/OBC candidates only.
1. Recruitment of Parliamentary Reporter Grade-II (English/Hindi):
No. of posts: Only 7 posts are available.
Age Limit: For SC/ST candidates - 32 years and For OBC candidates - 30 years.
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university with speed of 160 words per minute in shorthand.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 5400.
2. Recruitment of Parliamentary Interpreter Grade-II:
No. of posts: Only 9 posts are available.
Age Limit: For SC/ST candidates - 40 years and For OBC candidates - 38 years.
Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in the concerned discipline from a recognized university with experience in translation or interpretation work.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 5400.
3. Recruitment of Hindi Assistant:
No. of posts: Only 7 posts are available.
Age Limit: For SC/ST candidates - 40 years and For OBC candidates - 38 years.
Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in concerned discipline from a recognized university with English as a subject at the degree level.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4600.
4. Recruitment of Junior Library Assistant:
No. of posts: Only 14 posts are available.
Age Limit: For SC/ST candidates - 40 years and For OBC candidates - 38 years.
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Library Science from a recognized university with certificate in computer course recognized by AICTE/DOEACC.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4200.
Selection Process:
Selection Process for all the above specified positions is comprises of a written examination, physical/medical test and personal interview test.
